How is this photo done?

First - it is against the rules here to post a photo that you didn't take - you can post a link to it.

Second - there are a few ways to get that effect - first is in camera - expose for the shirt - which will cause the face / skin to be blown out a bit. second is to apply a high key filter in post processing. Third would be to play with the levels and saturation in post to get the desired effect.

Also, clearly the colors were modified in post processing. It looks vaguely similar to my post (http://static.photo.net/attachments/bboard/00X/00XzE5-318449584.jpg ) in the old thread, http://www.photo.net/digital-darkroom-forum/00Xx5N. This sort of cross-processed / Holga-like look has become quite common in recent years.

... or the split tone adjustment in ACR, or split toning in PS, or free PS "actions", ... ... etc. etc.

Lotsa ways to do it.

PS - Syliva, since your image was removed (for the reason already given), please post a link to it so that newcomers to this thread can see what we are talking about.

All photo.net members agree to the site's terms of use as a condition of their becoming members, and David was completely justified in pointing out one such term to Bula, who is a new member.

If you're not happy with our terms of use, Jim, perhaps you should join a community that's more to your liking.

As someone who removes photos posted in violation of the photo.net Terms of Use on many of the forums here, I want to thank David and Mark for understanding that we have Terms of Use, and that there are good reasons for them. If someone thinks that posting photos in violation of the Terms of Use, and, usually, in violation of the photographer's copyright, then they should hang out on Usenet or 4chan where nobody cares about the rights of photographers.

Thanks again to David and Mark for the support of photographers and photo.net.
