ken_wayne1
I have a friend who wants to use his Metz af 50 flash for canon with his Hasselblad 555eld. Is there any reason why he cannot or should not use this flash with his 555eld camera body? Also what adapter does he need to buy to use this flash with his camera? Thank you In advance for helping my friend,Ken
q.g._de_bakker
I could be wrong (i don't believe i am, but better check) but the Metz 50 AF does not take adapters that will allow matching it to any other camera.

The Hasselblad V-System cameras with TTL OTF flash need a SCA capable Metz flash unit and the SCA 390 adapter (depending on the model of flash unit: some old models need the SCA 590 adapter). Current Metz SCA capable units are the 45 CL-1 and 76 MZ-5 (both need tha SCA 390 to match them to the ELD). Metz made a host of other flash units (also shoe mounted models) that also work with the ELD and the SCA 390.
