Hasselblad Synch Cord question

I recently bought a Nikon Speedlight (SB28x) with the hope of using it as a off camera flash with my 501cm and 80mm Planar. I bought a long synch lead (10m) which is 'female to male'. the port on the lens is female so I can attach it no problem but then the port on my nikon flash is also female ? what should i purchase next to solve this problem, is there a simple adaptor i can get that will allow me to attach to the speedlight?
apologies if this is a rather obvious question, flash set-up is new to me.
many thanks

"the lens is female..... ....then the port on my nikon flash is also female"

Accoding to what you say above; you need a MALE on each end of the cord... MALE TO MALE, not female to female.

The more you say, the less people listen.

i believe what i need is female to female not male to male, and i cant seem to find one.

You need male to male.

You can't find female to female because nobody makes them because nobody needs them.
