booray
Does anyone know the best settings in-camera for a sepia effect on a Canon 40D?
fuccisphotos
Booray,
why are you trying to do it in camera rather than during post processing?
Matt Laur
At least be sure to shoot RAW + JPG so that the sepia-ified JPG isn't your only chance to get it right in post, later.
booray
In-camera. It's a photo-booth for a vintage-themed wedding. Goes straight to the printer from the camera...

My 5dmkII has a sepia setting but the 40D doesn't. However, a google search found press releases for the 40D that mentioned sepia via color tone..
laronge photographie coutu
You do it under the Picture Styles menu. You set monochrome first then you can set filter and toning effects. Check page 61 in the manual.
