Synchro-Compur

Prontor Werke used a code to identify different shutters. For example: the last version of the Synchro Compur was 800, A Compur Electronic M 0 was 018, The Prontor Magnetic 0 was 016, Prontor Press 0-12.
If this number is on the body of the shutter it is probably that item number to ID that version of the shutter. If it is on the aperture scale then it identifies that specific scale since a new shutter comes with blank aperture scales. That is why aperture scales screw on to the shutter while shutter speed scales do not mount that way to the shutter. That item number also appears as part of the catalog model number for the shutter. So the Prontor Press 0-12 shutter had a model number of 102006.
