While watching the Phillies game last night, they were cutting to commercial and showed the moonrise. That sent me running to the patio to see my options. I'm very happy with this one. 50d Canon 100-400.

00Ytwi-370093584.thumb.jpg.b294d65caacaa2370db6a3343c4ea8ed.jpg

I don't get here very often, but this is a shot I took a few weeks ago of two birds at a hummingbird feeder in our back yard. The one on the left is a house finch but the other no one here can identify. Guesses of Tanager and Oriole have ben given, but I do't think so here in the Sonoran Desert. Right after I shot this picture, the yellow colored bird whacked at the finch and it flew away. Another missed shot.

Daniel, the lily can be Oriental (strong scent) , Azian (no scent) and variations between. (LO, OT, LA, longiflorum)
Here's a page but it's in Dutch. http://www.lelieinfo.nl/soorten.html
If you click on the white text below the pictures you get a big big list... haven't found your one yet..
j.
ps 1: make sure you don't get the orange stuf on your clothes, the stains won't go with washing.
ps 2: if you see bright red beetles on the plants, kill them. They will eat the plant completely.
