How to mount Cactus v5

<p>I'm a long time Pocket Wizard user and am recently experimenting with Cactus v5 remotes. I generally keep a flash on camera for focus assist + fill and use hook-and-loop fastener to mount the Pocket Wizard on the flash head. This arrangement works out well with the Pocket Wizard as the back is flat but the Cactus v5 is rounded and contoured so it does not facailitate mounting this way. Are there any ideas for mounting the Cactus v5 to an on-camera flash?</p>

<p>doesn't it have a shoe on top so you can sandwich it?<br>

or insert a threaded stud in the bottom of the camera and attach it that way.<br>

or a L-bracket, mini-clamp and cold shoe.</p>

<p>It does have a shoe but it only has the center pin so no TTL. The bottom of the camera is also off limits as an arca plate lives there.</p>

Lay the Cactus down on the softer, loopy, sticky layer of velcro. Prepare bondage with the hook side on the surface of the body. Then slap that Cactus on the body!

<p>I think I found a solution based on a suggestion from a Flickr member. There is an included shoe stand so I attached it with a few rubber bands and it seems to hold well.</p>
