Nikon F diopter

<p>I recently picked up a very nice Nikon F with an FTn finder that has been converted to take 1.5v batteries. The eyepiece is a circular screw-on.</p>

<p>I will be searching for a -3 or -4 diopter. Does anyone know if diopters from such cameras as the Nikkormat or FE series would be compatible?</p>

<p>Yes, the eyepiece from the FM and FE families will fit a Nikon F FTn finder. I don't know about Nikkormat.</p>

<p>Hi Mike, I have an F with a standard prism and the diopters from my FE are not interchangeable. I would suggest that you check on KEH.com or call them I am sure they could get you set up.<br>

<p>Original Nikkormat threads should be the same as the FTn finder. I have an early angle finder that's labeled as for Nikkormat or Photomic finder, and certainly fits the FTn.</p>

<p>Yes, FTN finders and Nikkormat FTN have the same threads, also there is/was an adapter for the F3HP down to the smaller size of the FTN finder to use the magnifier and the right angle finder.</p>

<p>The original F standard finder uses rectangular clip on diopter lenses, not the round screw in ones.</p>
