cost of repairing an M3

I'm wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to repair an M3 body I'm considering purchasing. Seller says it has a frozen film counter and locked shutter. Right now he's asking about $350.<br>

<p>Right now, Keh.com has several M3 bodies for sale:<br>

The cheapest is under $800, while the most expensive is over $1300, depending on condition and whether it's a single or double stroke model.<br>

It seems that repairs can cost up to $400 and you'll still get a good deal.</p>

<p>Don Goldberg, dagcam AT chorus DOT net, did a fine overhaul of my M3 for $300. Shutter curtain replacement will cost more. If this M3 needs less work than a full overhaul, then of course you will spend less. If there is nothing wrong with the finder, then $350 is a good price.</p>

<p>That is a good deal assuming that for a bit over double this amount. You'll have a camera that's good for 20-30 years.</p>

<p>Remember that a used $800 M3 will likely need the TLC of a CLA. So you'll be ahead of the game.</p>
