Nikon NRW files crash Windows Explorer

<p>Frequently, when I'm trying to copy NRW raw files from my Nikon Coolpix P7000 camera from the SD card to a hard drive or from one hard drive to another, Windows Explorer stops working and shuts down. Windows then offers a suggested "solution," which is to go to Nikon's site and install the codec for NEF files. I already have that and anyway don't think it has anything to do with the problem with NRW files.</p>

<p>I have installed the Nikon codec for NRW files and, thinking that may be the problem, decided to uninstall it. However, it doesn't show up on the list of programs that Windows can uninstall.</p>

<p>This is an intermittent problem, and eventually I can get the files copied after a few do-overs, but it is annoying. Has anyone else run into it? Is there a solution?</p>
