3.5F changing flash sync

<p>Jeff, It could have been glued in the 'X' position. I did this with my Rolleiflex-T. Too many old wedding photographers using electronic flash had their photos ruined when they accidentally moved the sync switch from 'X' to 'M' during a wedding shoot. Easy enough to do if you aren't checking the sync position before every shot. If it works in the 'X' position I'd leave it there. Like you said, chances of firing off a flash bulb are slim to none today. </p>

<p>You would need flashbulbs to actually check that it works, or ruin photos taken with an electronic flash with the lever set to "M", as the flash then fires before the shutter even opens. I would leave it alone. Pivoting the lever outwards ( counter clockwise on the thumbnail) winds up the self timer and you would not be the first to have a blocked 3.5F because the ST sticks halfway through.........</p>
