rgans
HI. I have RGB images which are essentially B&W. I print them using the Epson 3800 ABW driver. But I just had a thought:
Before I print them, there is Assign Profile in Photoshop (CS4 / Windows). Which profile would I use: the sRBB IEC61966-2.1; Adobe RGB 1998; or the profile which matches the paper?

RON
rnt
If I'm reading you right, you want to assign the paper profile in the printer config, and turn off color management in Photoshop. In any event, the profile should match the paper.
andreas_hansen1
I would recommend assigning the sRGB profile to your image as per these instructions:
http://people.csail.mit.edu/ericchan/dp/Epson3800/printworkflow.html#abw_no_gray_curve
digitaldog
Doesn’t matter as long as its got a 2.2 TRC Gamma encoding (which sRGB and Adobe RGB (1998) have).
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
