howard b. schwartz
i have made a panorama in autopano that has embedded in it five layers, representing the five panoramic photos that i have stitched to one panorama. when i open the image in cs5 (windows), however, i can't seem to open the layers. the image has the layers because the image can be flattened in the layers pallette. how do i get the layers to be visible? thanks.

john_markanich
Under the "Window" drop-down menu, (up in the task bar where you have File, Edit.....etc.) make sure "Layer" is checked.
ellis_vener_photography
The layer you can't see is probably an Alpha channel. Go back to Auto Pano Pro (I prefer PTGui 9.x but let's not get into that now) and make sure that you have told it to output as background + layers. You can tel this is happening if instead of being say a 100MB file it is 500 or more MB in size.
dbcooper
I'm running Autopano Giga, and the settings Ellis mentioned are under 'preferences' on a Mac if that helps.

@Ellis - I'm also running PTGui Pro v9.0.2. Don't know if you saw there's a recent update (2/23/11).
howard b. schwartz
thanks for the responses. first, under the window drop down menu, "layer" is checked. also, in autopano i have told it to output to background and layers. the file opens in photoshop as a group if that helps any. again, under the layers pallette i have the option to flatten, so i know the layers are there, but i can't see them. perhaps the fact that it opens as a group means something. thanks. i can really use the help.
howard_m
is there not a small triangle on the left side of the group folder icon (between the folder and the eyeball)? Thats a standard expose triangle and has to be clicked to see the contents of the group

howard b. schwartz
also, i should note, that the file with the group and layers is 12.5 mb, and when i save it in autopano without the embedded images, the size is about 6 mb, so i know the layers are present, i just can't view them in the group.
