rashed_s
I just placed an order for 30 films of the above from B&H to use on my next trip to the eastern part of United Arab Emirates at the end of this month.
The climate condition well be fine during the day time and the sky comes with great moving clouds and contrast, under such condition is it recommended to use the 81A filter with these films, or not, specially where I am going to use E-6 solutions to process these films at home?

Thank you and wishing you all f the best.
stephen_schoof1
I think you really have to do your own tests to figure out what works for you. That said, I rarely use an 81A with V100F. Maybe in noticeably blue shadowy light, but not in open sun or cloudy bright.
steve_baldwin1
I'd run a test roll before you go. I hated the colors of velvia 100F! I like the Velvia 100 just fine for a super saturated film but for daily use I like the Astia 100F. The colors are more realistic and its a bit more forgiving to shoot, especially regarding shadow detail.
