<p>On a side note.......Canon has a number of cameras from 16 to 21 megapixels. Any idea if those users are reporting the same issues as here?</p>

<p>I have been using 18-200mm vr version 1 for a few years with d300. From my experience, 18-200mm gives the best resolution at f/8. Perhaps, the lens can render most details with d7000 when used at f/8.</p>
