Well, spherical VR is different. Unfortunately, the standard version of Photoshop does not have that capability. If you had followed the link I provided above, you'd have seen that you need the Photoshop Extended version for making spherical 360 panos with a Photoshop product. You can upgrade standard Photoshop to the Extended version for about $350 USD. The reason you need PS Extended is that immersive 'virtual reality' spherical panos are actually 3D movies of the inside of a 6-sided cube. They're often called QTVR panos (Quicktime Virtual Reality movie), but they can be rendered to work with Adobe Flash player.

Making a spherical pano has three basic steps; first, stitching a 360 view, second, adding the zenith and nadir shots (the zenith shot can often be batch stitched with the other 360 shots, but the nadir is usually added manually), and third, converting the result to a Flash or QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) movie. The 3rd step is essential to be able to move around 'inside' the image as if you were inside the scene. Photoshop (standard version) can only do the first two steps.

I make spherical panoramas with programs other than Photoshop, and use two different workflows depending on the scene and the result I want. My preferred workflow uses PTGui Pro for stitching and Cubic Converter to make the QTVR movie. The other one is done with Kolar Autopano Giga software to make Flash movies and really large spherical panos (the less expensive Autopano Pro will probably work fine for you). Either way is less expensive than upgrading to Photoshop Extended, and IMO easier and more accurate. YMMV. You can download free trial versions of any of them. Here's a link to a page with some good information. Good luck and have fun.
