Hey there, I'd like to understand what is this "MTF CHART"

<p><strong>I was looking at some lens reviews at usa.canon.com</strong> and at the buttom there is this "MTF CHART" showing comparison between the wide focal lenght and the tele. I can't stand it can you explain that to me? Thanks<br>
