DIY set-up for LED flashlight?

I am interested in trying an LED flashlight(s) for bodyscape photography, and have found one flashlight that comes with a tripod screw attached. However, this is quite limiting and expensive. Does anyone have an idea or has anyone used or seen a DIY setup wherein you take a clamp, and rig a flashlight to a stationary object like a tripod with the clamp? I've considered trying to modify the round clamps with adjustable circumferances that come with cheap clip-on metal light shades. If I can rig something like that, I could experiment with flashlights of varied sizes--a variation on the product linked below. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I use the following, but the part that you clip to the light stand is somewhat funky--doesn't stay tight unless the width of the stand tube is enough to hold by friction. Of course, you could put a dowel or block or stud on the end of the light stand.

The holster rotates where it attaches to the clip, so you can angle it fairly easily.

You can go to your nearest Home Depot and get a Jorgenson spring clamp. Here is a link to the mfgrs web site:

https://www.adjustableclamp.com/replacementparts/products3.asp?subcatID=252

The spring clamps I have have a hole in the end you squeeze to open up the clamp. When you go to Home Depot check to make sure they are doing this. The orange plastic can be moved to determine if the hole is still being drilled. Get a 1/4" bolt and a nut. Screw the nut on to the bolt first all the way to the head of the bolt. Then put the bolt through the hole on the clamp and screw it into your device. I use small portable flashes with Pocket Wizards but a flashlight sounds neat.
What's the nut for? In case the bolt is too long, don't try to screw it too hard into your flashlight as you could damage it. Instead take the nut and back toward the clamp until the flashlight is secure. Recommend not getting it too tight as you may need to move it around to get it where it works after you find a location to take the sping end of the clamp and afix it to the item. I've used many things to fasten a flash this way. DJ light poles, after getting permission, balcony rails, just about anything you can have the clamp hold your device.
The larger the clamp the easier to work but not too large as you want to use it sometime in tight spots. Maybe get a couple of different sizes. These are great for sports photography!

Hope this helps you.
