mariosforsos
Without knowing ANYTHING about your site, where and how it is hosted, whether there's an engine behind it, there's very little anyone can say. If you're hosting it yourself, for example, then you would need to set up an appropriate database and billing systems which your hoster and provider would support. If, on the other hand, you're using one of the photo hosting companies (zenfolio, smugmug, etc), then, most of them can handle it right out of the templates.

duncan_holmes2
If it's on a small, occasional scale, then a lot of web site providers can allow paypal pages too, if you're not using a dedicated hosting site.
goldbergbarry
Like Marios said, I recommend using Zenfolio or Smugmug. It does all of this for you plus a whole lot more. If you go the Wordpress route, try searching for Wordpress plugins.

bcphotography
I've just launched my site using a platform called photobiz.com. The start-up costs are pretty reasonable and you can add on various features, including the option for online photo purchase. I paid $125 for the Flash template version and used the content management tools to build out galleries and pages. The cost for transactions is an additional $125 and covers pretty much anything you'd want to sell.

I haven't added transactions yet, but you can check out the basic photobiz.com Flash site functionality at bullcabo.com.

Also agree with Barry... if you don't mind a little tinkering, a WordPress plug-in + PayPal would probably work well enough.
john_smith266
There are several online services that will do this for you. If you want to host it yourself, you can look at something like eos4you.com, picturepro.com, or some of the skins for JAlbum. These all offer payments methods for your visitors.
steve_elms
I use a template from Portfoliositez.com . It has the ability for clients to add items to their shopping cart and it automatically calculates taxes, etc based on the size of the print they order. You can check out my Landscape and Wildlife section (in my Portfolio) to see an example of how it looks / works. I've sold several prints online this way and it's worked very well.

http://www.elmsphotography.ca
