jon_shumpert2
Hi, I am curious if anyone can help me locate just the eyecup for the Nikon DW-4 finder. I bought mine several months ago without the eyecup. i didn't think I would need it, but I find that focusing on the screen is difficult without it. It seems that the distance of my eye from the finder affects the focus on the screen. Is this normal? I feel the eyecup would help, but don't want to buy another DW4 just for the eyecup. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Jon.
steve_levine
Have you tried the big online dealers? I know KEH lists "viewfinder & prism accessories". Also be advised that many Nikon eyecups are interchangeable. For example, most of the early manual bodies utilized the same threaded eye cups.
Michael R Freeman
The eyecup for the DW-4 (6X "chimney" finder) appears to be unique to that particular viewfinder. The eyecup for the DW-2 (F2) looks similar, but that isn't going to be any easier to find than the one for the F3.

The 6X finders for the F4 and F5 have a different style of eyecup, but they might fit.

In addition to Steve's suggestion you might want to check Pacific Rim Camera.
-

"It seems that the distance of my eye from the finder affects the focus on the screen. jon_shumpert2
Thanks for the help. I had not considered calling Nikon because I was sure they wouldn't have it, but I was wrong. I ordered it today. Thanks again.
