Also does your tamron have a build in motor or does it rely on the in camera motor. Mine relies on the in camera motor, I've heard that the one with the built in motor is slow.</em></p> <p>charles, i've used the original screw-drive version of the tamron 28-75 on d80, d90, d300 and d300s bodies. haven't gotten around to testing it on D3s yet. don't get me wrong, i like the lens--a lot. it was my first 2.8 zoom, and served admirably. it's just that the 24-70 on d300s and D3s is so much better, particularly when it comes to focusing.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
