garry_young1
Two shots from me that I took at my school's Advent ceremony. The first at the rehearsal in the morning. This little girl was SO entranced by the singing, and followed the actions closely. I got a whole bunch of shots of her, but this is my favorite, K20D, F100mm:

And then this is in the evening when the lights were lit, this is from the third floor slightly after the ceremony came to a close, borrowed Kx, Tamron 17-50mm:

On the topic of the borrowed Kx, I shot this video of my daily commute into town with it, the video may be a little long, but I enjoyed having the capacity to take video lol!!!:
Daily Commute

I also recently put together a small slide show of some images from my holiday back to South Africa over the summer (winter there). Tony Evans
This week tried out the CZJ Biometar 80/2.8 on the K20D, courtesy of a P6-PK adapter which just arrived from Hong Kong. These 700 dpi jpegs dont show just how sharp it is. All at f8.0 with T/MLU.
Tony Evans
bob_marz
Great images as usual guys... Well, it's getting to be that time of year where hopefully the snow will be flying around my parts. We have gotten a little snow further north in the Adirondacks. Anyways, thinking about snow brought this image to mind from our Rocky Mountain trip in July. We had actually hiked a bit of this range just a few days earlier. Rocky Mountains in July / Pentax K10D / 16-45mm lens / Aperature Priority

Tony Evans
Gary,
"He rides the Wall of Death and gets the Chequered Flag!" Great ride, great video. Two questions. How can you afford photography after all those traffic tickets? Why do all the other riders go so slow?
Tony Evans
shots worth sharing
Terrific start! I especially like Garry's girl--with the masked boy in the background.

Here are a couple of shots with the K-5 and Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8:

@ 63mm [1350s, f/4, ISO4500]

@75mm [1/125s, f/8, ISO 1600]

garry_young1
Lol Tony! I must emphasize that the speed is enhanced by the wide angle lens. Having said that, I generally do speed too much. The speed limit is 40km/h (25mph) in most places, but one or two spots on my commute are 50km/h (31mph) limits. I generally don't exceed 100km/h (60mph) in the faster areas, and I take safety seriously.

The one reason everyone else seems slow is that the crazy traffic hasn't begun at that time of the day, most people up at that time are not in a rush. Additionally, my bike is just very "agile" for want of a better word, and doesn't like dawdling. I often tell her to cool it, but she just purrs at me. :)) You may have noticed that most bikes on the road are scooters, whereas I ride a larger dirt bike that I have modified extensively. This leads to questions of sensibilities, which I often ponder at length over a good single malt whiskey.

Once or twice recently I have had the opportunity to drive a car to work, and the slow dawdle was so refreshing. Sitting in a car with a coffee and smoking my pipe is a great way to both end and start the day. It just takes too long though!!

And no tickets!! I slow down for the speed cameras!!!
david_nunn1
A couple more from India for me. In the tourist ares it seems that men get all the nice jobs and the women the manual work

jgredline
Gary, I really enjoyed the video, Loved the conga music and the fact that there are ''no red lights and no stop signs'' (Ok, maybe 2 of them) I loved the sarcastic commentary as well. Is it only here in the states that people do call each other mates? Great vid!
