yvon_bourque2
Miserere,
I know, but that's okay. Life is less interesting if you can have everything you want...and believe me, that makes my life very interesting!

Yury,
You can park nearby and walk a little for free.
jgredline
Hmmm, I wonder if the Fuji will be their. If so, I will go and check it out and afterwards, hit old town for some street shooting.

yvon_bourque2
Javier,
I don't see that Fuji will be there but Samy's and other camera stores will be there with some equipment. Then again, you could always just go to your local Samy's, I believe you are close to the Pasaadena store, aren't you? Last week, I went to a presentation at the Santa Ana store and was pleasantly surprised. It's four times the size of the Pasadena store, they had some Pentax stuff and all the sales people were super nice to me.
jgredline
Yvon,
I live about 3 miles from the Pasadena store. They actually have quite the Pentax inventory now. :)
frank_b._baiamonte
Javier (and anyone else from out of town, or anyone from San Diego who has not heard of SD-DSLR):

If you are thinking of coming down to San Diego for this - on Saturday the 13th the San Diego DSLR Photo Group (you don't have to shoot a DSLR) is having its monthly Group Shoot. I've been going to these for about a year and a half now, and they are a lot of fun. A real variety of people show up, often as many as 20-30 people. We generally meet in the morning, and then head for a group lunch around 1130-1200. I've met a lot of really nice people through this, some have become quite good friends. The group ranges from pros (full and part-time) to amateurs and hobbyists. There is never any sort of condescending attitudes no matter your experience or knowledge level, everyone is really friendly, and always ready to help a new person.

Here is the website: San Diego DSLR Photo Group

This month the Group Shoot is at the Cabrillo National Monument, which is where the Point Loma Lighthouse is. It's a fun place to visit. No one has mentioned the Photo Expo yet, but I'm sure some in the group will be going, either on Saturday or on Sunday. Maybe we can get a group together to go there. I would be up for either Saturday afternoon (after the Group Shoot lunch) or on Sunday.

So, come to San Diego early enough to meet the Group Shoot at 9:00AM at Cabrillo Monument, and then after lunch we can go to the Photo Expo.
