michel_vandeput
Dear Leica friends, Over a few weeks I bought a M7... very happy with it. One question, how do you use the SF20 flash with the camera set on AUTO position? The camera user's guide tells me the speed is automatically set on 1/50 sec, and what becomes with the previous background light metering? How could SF20 fill in be possible with M7 on AUTO position? If I can understand the flash technology, it will be only possible if the M7 camera is set on manual position (just like the M6TTL). Best regards from Belgium. lucien1
Michel, In Auto mode, there is a solution, it's to open the aperture until the 1/50 in the finder blink, then close the aperture until it's stop blinking and dial an exposure compensation on the SF-20. But the normal way is to use the manual mode from 4s. to 1/50s., with the help the arrows in the finder and of the exposure compensation on the SF-20 or on the SCA3501/3502 adapter. Or to use the HSS fill-in in manuel mode from 1/250s. to 1/1000s, with the Metz 54-MZ3 and SCA3502 only. Best from Brussels. Lucien
