aaron d
For a full uncropped scan of a 6x9 negative (120 roll film) I can find drum scans and Kodak photo pro services for $23/image on up, but no smaller scans in a range similar to what you find for 35mm on what I've seen called a "Master" disc. Does anyone do that commercially, or am I going to have to buy a $2000 Minolta film scanner? Ideally I'm wanting to spend in the neighborhood of $2 /frame... Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
carl smith
Have you got 1000frames to scan? You can get a real film scanner that will handle medium format for about $1200 or $1300. It's an older and lower resolution Minolta. To be honest I would just recommend an Epson 2450 or similar Canon flatbed scanner.
dave_yuhas
The cheapest medium format scans I've found, not considering PhotoCd, were at a lab called Photo Time (www.phototime.com) in the Stanford shopping center. $20 for an 80Mb scan on an Imacon Flextite scanner.
