gary_inglese
I have a Carl Zeiss, JENA 21 cm lens for my speed graphic. (serial #Nr237016) Tessar 1:4.5 DRP. The len's f-stops are marked as follows: 4.5, 6.3, 9, 12, 18, 25, 36,50. Can anyone help me with the conventional f-stop equivalents? I don't think they are US Stops.Thank you in advance. graham_patterson
It's a full stop sequence that starts at f4.5, or about a half-stop smaller than f4. <p> Interleaved with the usual sequence: 4, 4.5, 5.6, 6.3, 8, ... 36, 45, 50, 64.
tsun_tam
I believe these stops were calibrated using the 'contenental'system. I have several older (pre-WWII and WWII) vintage Leica lenses and they were similarly marked. Just interpolate the stops and you'll be fine. Any errors will easily be covered by the latiture of your film (even chromes).
