david_mcewan
Does anyone have any information about this model? I am looking at a photo of one for sale and wondering whether there is any rarity to it. It has a Yashinon 2.8 45mm lens, selenium meter, coupled rangefinder and copal svl shutter.
M-11 is stamped into the chrome on the front of the camera directly below the winder. I have made an extensive search of the web but this model is not mentioned. Except for the M-11 on the front it appears to be the same as the Yashica Minister 11. If it is the same, why have different model names unless sold into different markets?
I look forward to receiving help on this camera.
chuck_foreman1
Apparently this an MII (2) The Predecessor being the the M model. This may not be especially rare, but a nice shooter for sure! Check out Yashica Guy! He knows all the models! http://www.yashica-guy.com/document/variations.html Here'S a listing on the big auction site http://cgi.ebay.de/YASHICA-M-II-COUPLED-RANGEFINDER-CASE-CAP-313-yashinon-/280572788435?pt=UK_Photography_Film_Cameras_ET&hash=item415370fed3
