duy_le
I've just bought my new 7D and am still exploring its functions and wondering if anyone could help me with the AF point selection. As you would know there are 5 ways to work around with your AF point but I can only work with 3 ways ie. AF Auto, AF area & AF single point.
The len I am using is EFS 18-200mm F3.5-5 IS. Is there anything to do with the lenses?
nathangardner
Did you read the manual? What are the other two ways?
duy_le
As I remember one of those ways allows you to choose AF point smaller than the normal AF Single point option and the other one triggers 4 other points around your AF Single point option.
nathangardner
I've never used a 7D, so I'm not familiar with it, but I do remember a guy telling me the center point is smaller, so it won't get bumped out of focus by objects near the center. As for the 4 surrounding points, that sounds like "AF area" to me. Whatever all the options are, they're more than likely Custom Function menu options. I'd read through all the CF's in the manual and see how each setting affects the camera set up.

lester_wareham
You have to enable the other two options using a custom function, the will then appear in the selection sequence.

nathangardner
I think if you look at the Japanese manual through this, then it will read in English. :)
