I have a few clients that are asking about doing some sports posters for their young sons football team.

They want something large like a 20x30, with their name on it and a logo the team uses. The are wanting something

uniform so all the kinds have the same poster, other then picture and name. I am hoping to find a company or printer

that has some type of template based on a particular sport to see if that might help. Have checked on MPIX and

another company I use for my traditional printing with no luck. Help please. Any suggestions on where I can turn

would be greatful.

I have 2 ideas off the top of my head. Not sure of a site that will design them for you but I use Photoshop and create a layout with all but the individual/custom items.

First idea, layout a design with the logo and kids name (maybe even their number) and background/border. Basically everything but the individual images. Decide what you are going to charge and how many custom images will be included in the design. You might want to keep the number of images on the lower side, otherwise you may have plenty of shots for Kid A who is the starting running back and is in every other shot compared to Kid B who gets to play once in a while. If you are trying to keep it fair and the same across the board you don't want to over promise (been there done that!) I would include a close up and then a full length action shot. What you do with the graphics is up to you. You may want to set up the same design but have mirrored designs to best fit the custom images?

Second idea, you could do a single poster design that has an action shot of all players (assuming you have the chance to capture something of every kid) with the team's logo or team shot in the middle. It would be less design time saving you money/keeping the cost down for the parents and then maybe selling a few more.

Hi there,
I design custom posters! I am a consultant for Heritage Makers and I specialize in custom everything. You can also get on my website and design your own posters or use one of the many templates made by fabulous designers. My website is www.bookthosememories.com. You can log on and look at the template gallery to get an idea of the type of work that's out there. The quality is unbeatable. My daughters both compete in high level sports and they have had companies come out and offer posters, nothing came close to what we offer. You can sign up for a free account and play around with it too. Please feel free to e-mail me privately about this- my e-mail is lori16@cox.net. I can also send you some posters that I've done. Thanks.
