This week my shot is from the Currituck Beach Lighthouse in Corolla, North Carolina.

This is taken with a Samsung TL500 (EX1), highlighting a need for Pentax to produce a high quality digital compact, I was left without a Pentax option to even consider in this category. Suffice to say I'm very happy with the camera. I still think this is a market that will have a following even after the whole ILC/EVIL camera segment matures. Hopefully Pentax will address this market segment at some point in the future now that Samsung, Canon, Panasonic, and Ricoh all have competitors in this class of camera.

I don't care much for b/w but round & round is just it !
But normally I would go for the colored fractalius...
I try to be versatile , but seem mostly interested in the pp-work :
and some fractalius from the true lowlands : behind this wooden door is a threatening wall of water 5 meters high. I'm sitting in a canoe, just around the corner from where I live. So in fact I'm living 5 meters below sealevel....

Upnor Castle was bulit in 1564 to protect English warships moored at Chatham dockyards. Despite a brave attempt, it entirely failed to do so in 1667, when the Dutch sailed past it to burn or capture the English fleet at anchor.

Looks like we're off to some great images. Markus' work knocked me flat! and David's staircase is remarkable. While I got some killer images of my daughter my wife has a 'no identifiable posts of the daughter' rule. So instead one less than spectacular image of a Red Admiral Butterfly taken in Zionsville (IN) . Too many papers to grade and reports to write.

00XJmh-282243584.jpg.0dc3609fd7e93894d012f1ea3e20750c.jpg

Still processing some images from Rocky Mountain National Park shot with K10D and DA 16-45 Cathedral Rocks - here's what Justin was just discussing about polarizing filters and the sky, oh well learn, learn, learn from your mistakes. I tried muting it and converting to black & white and this still looked best to me. High Country Tarn along the Old Ute Trail RMNP Evening

Excellent art Justin, the camera specs are indeed impressive, but you made it happen.

I've been having a lot of fun with M42 SMC Takumars on my Canon 7D. Funny how that LBA lifecycle comes back around. I had sold off all my SuperTaks a few years ago, but now I find the EOS-to-M42 adapters easier to manage than the Pentax Kmount-to-M42s, so I've scouted out some primo SMC Takumars.
