alfie wang
Hi, Just wondering whether anyone here is using Jon Cone's piezography set or the MIS/Lyson ink sets? Any opinions on archival stability and dMax capability? I am using a luminuous landscape (on their website) workflow called Selenium Quad toning and Epson inks to create very accurate selenium toned prints. I just printed out a shot from my M6 and it was exceptional from Zone I to Zone XI. The digital shots were fairly decent. If you aren't using a quadtone set, what do people think about monochrome quadtone printing?
chris_hulett
I've been very pleased with Piezography in my SC 3000. Finding the right paper for the photograph is very important in getting good tonal range and density, so be prepared to do a lot of experimenting. andrew_ito
I use the Piezography software with an Epson 1160 with a continuous inking system and MIS FS-N inks. In addition, I also use an Epson 1520 that currently has Piezo original ink carts in it. I really like the Piezo plug-in. However, the papers that I enjoy show a bit of corduroy banding. Epson Archival Matte and Hahnemuhle Photo Rag both seem subject to this.
