Nikon Wednesday Pic 2010: #32

<p>Happy Wednesday all, I simply can't believe that a week is gone again. My pic this week is from a personal project I did this past November at a local creek. D200 on tripod, MLU, ISO 200, 300mm Nikkor Ais 4.5, pretty sure this used a Hoya Soft A but maybe not and just the full water reflection. Exposure was probably f11 @ 1/15 or so.</p><div></div>

<p>A US Navy F-18 broaches the sound barrier throwing up a shock wave, in a fly-by over the runway at Pt. Mugu Naval Air Station this Sunday. It was quite a sight to see.</p><div></div>

<p>Hello everyone; the standard of the posts so far is very high! Had a family camp this weekend, and found this yellow horned poppy blowing about on windy beach - but snuck out early next morning in a still dawn with the bonus of dew.</p><div></div>

<p>This is my first attempt to capture a waterfall, or at least part of it. Taken at Devil's Bridge, in Wales, after a rather steep descent down "Jacob's Ladder" with my gear!</p><div></div>

My picture was taken whilst driving home, the light looked good so I stopped the car. I wish I'd had a red orange or even yellow filter to bring out the sky detail more, but will know to do that next time. </p><div></div>

<p>Good Morning Wednesday :)</p>

<p>My contribution is from the past Saturday, when went to race track and found bike racing there. It was noon-time and picture is through the fence. You can see the faded black-line running through the picture, but I liked the angle of the bike and focused eye.</p>

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to go and see harness racing for the very first time, at the New Jersey Meadow-lands. While all of my coworkers where focusing on placing bets on who was going to win, I was focused on capturing who was going to win. Panning a camera is definitely a skill that I have yet to develop.
