Quck qestion about PC screw locks

<p>I'm starting to play around with some strobes and looking to get a pc male to pc male sync cable, was a little confused on cables with screw locks. Can these be used with pc terminals that are not threaded, or can the crew lock only fit into a terminal that is threaded for the lock.<br /> <br /> Thanks.</p>

<p>I have some cables with Nikon screw-locks I've used on other cameras, but in general if your camera's PC connection doesn't use a screw-lock I find the <a href="http://www.paramountcords.com/products.asp?cat=61">long-tip PC cords</a> are the most reliable.</p>

<p>I don't know if Nikon offers them in that configuration, but Paramount Cable does. You can purchase one through almost any camera shop or even B&H. As mentioned abobe by Henry from B&H, if the camera / Speedlight does not have a threaded female PC input, you do not need the threaded cable.</p>
