mugundhan_varadanarayanan Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010
Hi,
I am travelling in India to my native village, Thuvariman. Here are some pictures of my son and some friends/ relatives. Most of the pics are indoor, so I used ISO1600 on some of them.
Please share your thoughts...
<a href=" title="IMGP9197 by MugundV, on Flickr">
<a href=" title="IMGP9196 by MugundV, on Flickr">
<a href=" title="IMGP9061 by MugundV, on Flickr">
<a href=" title="IMGP9060 by MugundV, on Flickr">
<a href=" title="IMGP9053 by MugundV, on Flickr">
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
miserere_mei Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010
Mugundhan, please make sure the post looks correct next time you submit something, because your HTML didn't work. If you plan on using HTML code you need to click on the "HTML" button first. Here are the photos as links for those that want to see them:

You know, I thought I liked tilting angles, but man, you take them to the extreme! :-D The first pic is the best; great smile.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

michael_elenko Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010
Mugundhan, the first one is nicest because it is both true to the spirit of a portrait, and the most technically pleasing. The others seem more like snapshots, though they are interesting. The second one has pleasing light on the subject, and the salmon color is lovely. If only with the child's face was visible.

I'd suggest that you get closer to your subject and try to capture their eyes looking at you.

ME
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
shaloot Posted August 2, 2010 Share Posted August 2, 2010
Mugundhan, I post all my pics from Flickr on here using the HTML format so I'd thought I'll just explain how I do it:
Click on your photo then click on the "share this" pull down menu and choose "grab the HTML". Choose which size you want, and for here I usually choose 'Medium 500'.
Copy the entire code.
When you paste on photo net and press the "submit" button, be sure the scroll down on the next page and hit the "update" button before simply clicking the "confirm" button. Otherwise, you will just post the code and not the actual pictures. Pressing "update" then reloads the page with the photos, then you can hit "confirm".
Hope that helps, and you can now post more shots. I like the 1st one the best too.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mugundhan_varadanarayanan Posted August 4, 2010 Author Share Posted August 4, 2010
Hi Somanna,
Thanks for the suggestion, I did the same thing you mentioned, in the preview I saw the pix, but I guess instead of clicking update, I clicked submit
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
