gen_b.
Hi folks,

I purchased a set of Duracell rechargeable batteries/charger about a year ago, and never opened them. They remained in a climate-controlled house tucked away, still in their package.
I opened them the other day, and have since charged them for >24 hrs, and they just aren't "charging".
Are they ruined? Can I get them replaced by the company?
Advice appreciated-
frank_skomial
Something like this was reported already.
Some chargers test for some initial charge or voltage, and if there is nothing there, they will refuse charging, presumming that the batteries are bad.
I do not remember the details, but expensive computerized chargers were doing this. Yet some simpler chargers do not perform any test, and just apply the charge, thus saving the batterries.
Try a different charger? Once you manage to charge once, your charger could possibly pick them up and continue using?
