Matt Laur
Wednesday greetings, Nikonophiles. This past Saturday evening my wife said to me, "How about we get out Sunday morning before the sun's up, and you shoot. Whatever you like." What a lucky man I am. All I had to agree to was buying a diner breakfast and weak coffee in a little rural Maryland town.

It would turn into a nearly 100-degree day, but it was still cool enough at sunrise. A pasture full of horses were out for an early graze, and one friendly mare came over to check me out. Hope you and your Nikon gear were out early, too. Share a photo!

CoryAmmerman
Hello everyone. Happy Wednesday.

Went out for a pleasant evening by the river yesterday. Wasn't really out to do any serious shooting, mainly just to unwind from a long day.

Hope everyone has a good day.

sebastianmoran
Hello Wednesdayers --

Here's another portrait, my Aunt Mary, at a 2008 family gathering. Available light, mostly daylight from large curtained windows to left. This from a couple years ago with the D70 and a 50mm f/1.4 lens.

Aunt Mary, 2008 -- Nikon D70, 50mm f/1.4 Lens @ f/2.2, Hand-held, Available Light
tsypkin
Matt, you are lucky indeed. I managed to convince my wife to go with me a dog show (for one hour) while I took some pictures. I figure I was lucky too.

Dieter Schaefer
No shooting this weekend - stayed home nurturing some tooth-ache; the first part of a root canal to fix the problem was endured today. This image was created on July 11 and shows Arlington West Memorial, Santa Barbara; it is erected every Sunday on West Beach, directly adjacent to Stearns Wharf. The memorial started with 340 crosses on Nov. 2, 2003. Today, there are 3,000 crosses - though the correct number as of July 11, 2010 should be 4,412.
D200 with 35/1.8, 1/400s, f11, ISO200. gej_jones
Hello to all From On the Road.
My shot is of an abandoned church in Milford, Iowa. I saw if from Interstate 80 and pulled off at the next exit. Then I hiked for about 20 minutes. The grass was four feet high and the temperature was in the 90s. Not the smartest thing I’ve ever done. Got the shot I wanted and a few that I found to be interesting. The church has seen vandals. The stained glass is broken or stolen and the inside has been trashed. Too bad... It probably was a beautiful little church. The schoolhouse next-door is in the same condition. Still, I found the church be beautiful in its own way. I hope you do too. Signing off from Reno.

klum
Many excellent photographs thus far. Can't wait to see what else is to come.
The morning is such a wonderful time of day. It is incredible how many people are absent for the sake of a few more hours of sleep...nothing against dreams by all means. This was taken while testing my exposure for a different image in mind. Seems to happen quite often.

nicole_litalien
Fabulous images everyone! I was quite pleased that this little critter happened to pay a visit while I was about to snap a few images of the garden...I was equally as pleased to have not gotten stung! Mankuthel
Hello everyone...

This week's contribution is a night shot of one of Antoni Gaudi's works in Barcelona - La Pedrera of Caixa Catalunya. I wanted to add some more colour to the photo and waited for a bus to pass by to throw in that extra red!

jeannean_.
Very nice photos so far!
