Medium format Wide Angle - Which?

<p>The Russians (Kiev) and East Germans (Pentacon) built a series of cameras that may be somewhat less reliable but less expensive than the Swedish (Hasselblad) or Japanese (Pentax) camera and lens makers, but I am told that some of their wide and very wide angle lenses are very good indeed. These might fit better into your price range and also offer through the lens viewing. Otherwise, a used rangefinder 6x9 cm Fuji GSW (series II being less expensive than the more recent but discontinued series III) offers a fairly modern and roughly 28mm equivalent (re 35mm cameras) lens of very nice quality. I think they sell between about 400$ and 700$, depending upon condition.</p>
