ronald_smith6
Now that HP has decided to replace their best paper with a new source stock, it is lighter and creases in my HP7960. I can use the new stock to make fine 5x7's (just cut a sheet in half), but it would be nice to be able to make 8x10's without any worries.
Is there a third-party or another brand of paper that works well in HP printers and with their ink? Are there any adjustments I would need to make in the printing box?
jack_fisher1
I use hp Advanced in my hp8250 Printer. 4X6, 5X7 and Letter size. It has always worked well for me. I don't know about the 7960 and its profile.
chas_frady
I tried the new HP Premium Plus paper (8.5 x 11) in my HP 8750 and it does not crease. Maybe your 7960 is starting to show its age. As for me, I'll soon be getting a Canon 9000 Mk II. Lots of them around for $225-250 USD.
ronald_smith6
I don't think it's my printer, I have some old stock HP Premium Plus, no problems. I did notice the newer paper is lighter. I am also toying with the idea of getting the B8850 in the near future.

ronald_smith6
Oh? I had not realized HP was out of this market; I better try some of that Ilford Pearl paper.
