RD-1s Rangefinder Alignment Report

<p>Have just successfuly adjusted the focus alignment on my RD-1s using the instructions here ...</p>

<p>Have managed to get great infinity alignment and excellent accuracy at under 3 feet, tested with a 50mm lux asph wide open. </p>

<p>Only one wierd observation: the large adjustment screw number 3 is supposed to adjust vertical alignment and yet seems to have no effect.</p>

<p>Incredible. Screw Number 3 needed to be turned one complete revolution counterclockwise before it engaged enough to affect the vertical alignment and shift the patch upwards. After that, adjustment of the vertical was easy. Reading about how tight the screws were and how sensitive they were to the slightest rotation I was afraid to turn it so much. Absolutely astounding.</p>
