Epson 2880 approx print costs

Recommended Posts

The store I bought my 3800 from told me that they had done some informal test but they believed most Epson professional printers cost about $1.00 a square foot for ink. Add your cost of paper and that should at least give you a starting point.

My friend have been using R2880 for just over a year now and probably printed 100 A3 prints, 50 A4 and 200 A5 with 24 cartridges. The coverage is like 20% to 30% only.
On the other hand, the ink use for cleaning heads is high. Also, the initial setup fills the lines, so there is still ink in the printer when the heads are empty.
likewise, I would go for a bigger one like 3880 / 3800 or get a CIS for R2880.
The 3880 or 3800 with refillable cartridges might be the best choice and most economics way to print. someone on another forum has tested many different refillable carts and found the best one and inks.
