jameschuas
Just wanted to share some of my exposures done with a Voigtlander Vito II. This was one of my first analog cameras, and I enjoyed it very very much. I hope you will enjoy the pictures as much as I do!!!
#1 Lucky Super 200. f16, 1/250

#2 Lucky Super 200. f3.5, 1/250

#3 Fuji Superia 200. f8, 20 secs

#4 Kodak Tri-X 400. f8, 1/250

#5 Kodak Tri-X. f11, 1/250

Although it is a hyper-focusing camera, I must say that I enjoyed the entire process, given I was almost a total stranger to the concept at that time. This is one of the cameras that got me hooked on analog photography, and I have been doing this eve since this January. :)
JDMvW
Nice demonstration of what it can do. I especially like the nighttime on the bridge.

Can you show us a picture of the Vito II? There seem to be a lot of Vito models, or at least from the point of view of us who don't know these classics.
jameschuas
As requested, here's a little about the camera. :)
The Voigtländer Vito II was introduced in 1950, a 35mm fixed folder camera. It comes with a Color-Skopar 50mm, F3.5 lens, Synchro-Compur shutter.
It's a nice little folder that can fit into your pocket, light enough to be carried around just like that.

chuck_foreman1
Hey James... great results!! I really liked that first picture of the building! Super Impressive ! The night time shot is so crystal sharp and the color is so real...my nighttime shots (in color) are usually a little muddy and orange I love the hues you achieved and great lines. Also Tri-X is a great film with great latitude.. I rarely use it because I never need the speed but I do love the look of it! Tram station is nice! Oh JDM.. there's a great site for Voigtländer model overview http://pagesperso-orange.fr/voigtlander/cadresA.htm. I know another site that's easier to find and (especially for you http://home.wtnet.de/~ddrescher/voigtlaender/) is also good!! I chose these two because they provide an overview! JDMvW
awww. It's a cutie camera! Thanks very much; it's nice to have the camera together with the results for "future generations". ;)
rick_drawbridge
Verrrry nice, James. The old Color Skopar certainly delivers. I particularly like the Bike and the Bridge, and you don't get much crisper results than The Peacock. A beautifully-made and compact folder; thanks for a fine post.
rustys pics
Cool depth of field on the Bike. Great job focusing that Skopar! And the Bridge shot has gorgeous color. Thanks for posting shots of the camera. It's really a lovely little jewel, isn't it? I have a Vito IIB that I need to shoot with some more. I think it's one of the finest 35mm folders ever made.
ralf_j.
Beautiful post, with excellent color photography. Had a Vito I at some point but the bellows were damaged and ripped away from the film gate. Gave it to my mechanic for parts :-(. Will get another one at some point.
eyespy
Thanks for sharing James. I have a Vito II and have been scared to use it. I've recently learned how to load/operate my Kodak Retina folder. Your shots, incredible as they are have inspired me to include it in my travel kit on an upcoming road trip. Good Show...don't ya love film!!

jameschuas
Good on ya Steve. The Vito II is indeed a nice camera to use, and very convenient for its size. Hope to see some of your shots soon :)
