Om-4ti viewfinder illuminator prblm

<p>Hello, Om users!<br /> <br /> I have just received an Om-4ti and when it come the viewfinder illuminator didn't work. I read in the manual that in low-light conditions I should use it, but nothing happens when I push the button.<br /> <br /> The LED inside (it should be a led, right?) can be replaced? <br /> <br /> Thank You</p>

<p>Look at the white plastic strip on the front of top cover, just above the "Olympus" name. When you press the illuminator button, the plastic strip should glow with a faint yellow color. Light could be bad, or side switch might not be working. Either way, camera would need service. John</p>

<p>It is assumed meter display is already "on" when viewfinder light button is pushed. Mount lens, turn on meter display, then push illuminator button. If light does not go on, then as before, either light or switch is bad. John</p>
