GM2561T or something else?

<p>Hi folks,<br /> <br /> I consider adding a monopod to my setup. I want to carry something with me when I don't have my GT-1541T tripod with me, which alas, is very frequent. <img src="http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" alt="" /><br /> <br /> Important requirements: <br /> <em>Weight</em>: As light as possible. My goal is to go under 0.5 Kg. GM-2561T is 330g. <br /> <em>Folded length</em>: Around 35cm. Less is better. Anything above 40cm is not relevant. GM-2561T is 36cm.<br /> <em>Expanded length</em>: As much as possible. GM-2561T is 143cm.<br /> <em>BQ</em>: As high as possible.<br /> <br /> Less important requirements: <br /> <em>Carrying capacity</em>: Not an issue. Typically around 1.5-2 Kg. <br /> <em>Ease of use</em>: As comfortable as possible (yes, I know it's a personal issue <img src="http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/emoticons/smiley.gif" border="0" alt="" />). Quick opening is desirable. <br /> <em>Number of legs</em>: Generally not an issue but less is better. GM-2561T has 6 which can be a nuisance as it relates to ease of use. Nevertheless, this requirement has the lowest priority. <br /> <br /> General:<br /> <em>Head</em>: Not an issue. I'll be using my RRS BH25LR.<br /> <em>Price</em>: Not an issue.<br /> <br /> I searched and came up with the GM-2561T as the seemingly best option. The only real possible problem I see is that expanded length is not something to be exited of. It's only 143cm and I'm 187cm tall.
