paul_ong1
Hi,
There is a RZ67 PD Prism on Craigslist. I wonder if it would work on the RB67. I know that the RB67 is mechanical, thus the metering would not work. But, can I use it as a prism?

Thanks.
dave_s
This has been done, at least for the waist-level finder. Check here for an example. It requires a tiny reversible hack of the finder mount, so I suspect you couldn't swap freely between RB and RZ finders. Someone here will know more about this than me.
christoph_sensen
I don't think it would work. Most likely, the RZ prism would get it's energy from the battery in the camera body and the RB would not have the ability to power it up. There is a dedicated PD prism for the RB, which would be better to look out for.
Christoph
jim_krupnik
I think it will work fine as a "non-metering" prism. I can't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure that the mod needed to make an RB prism mount on an RZ body can be dithered to achieve the reverse. Of course, the meter won't work, but if it's cheap, you get a nice eye level prism.....

paul_ong1
Dave, Christoph and Jim
Thanks for the responses. While there is a chance the RZ finder might work, I think I rather not hack the RB. Given that and the battery issue, I think I will wait for a RB PD prism to show up.
