Panasonic G1 Kit with 20mm Lens?

<p>I want to buy a Panasonic G1 with the 20mm pancake lens, instead of the more common 14-45mm zoom. Does anyone know of a dealer who sells the camera as a kit with the prime 20mm lens?<br>

<p>Unfortunately, it would not be likely. Whether a body and a lens are sold as a kit or not is decided by the manufacturer and not by the dealer except for the improvisational kit on the dealer's side who need to clear its surplus stock.</p>

<p>Considering that G1 was very popular (it is already discontinued) and so is 20/1.7, it is not likely that there is any dealer who suffers from the surplus stock of both items.</p>

<p>This Sunday morning (March 7) I see the announcement of the Panasonic G2. Guess that pretty much confirms the discontinuation of the G1, eh?</p>

<p>You can still buy a G1 body and a 20mm pancake lens separately. I have seen a number of G1 bodies on eBay. I also purchased the Panasonic 20mm on eBay for use with my E-P2.</p>
