george_brown__iii
Does anyone know when the D60 will become availability. Everyone I have talked to has been unable to find one? I thought since it was built on the D30 frame, it would not take them long to be available in moderate amounts. The dealer here has a waiting list of seven or eight. jay_.
I was upset about that at first but now I think it was really nice of Canon to make me hold off for the 1Ds ;>)
alan_schietzsch
We've had ours for over a month; it may take a little phoning around to find a dealer with inventory coming in soon, but I certainly wouldn't say they're not available. I *am* glad we sought it out, as we've had several digital jobs come along lately that it has been well suited for. Hopefully it will earn enough to make the 1Ds a reality sometime! Wow, things are changing faster and faster. Alan SchietzschARS Technical ImagesEdmonton, Canada
isaac sibson
This seems odd to me, because a friend of mine decided somewhat out of the blue to get a DSLR, and was choosing between the D60 and Nikon D100. He got the D60 because his local shop got it for him very quickly. The D100 was impossible to get at the time (June), and he had no trouble at all in getting the D60. My local shop has never seemed to have trouble getting D60s in (although they're a top canon pro centre, and can basically get things before anyone else...they've shifted a fair few 1D). Funnily enough, it was the 70-200 F4L he found hard to get hold of...
Ken Katz
In May it took 3 weeks from order to delivery (from B&H). Maybe they have started to swipe CMOS chips from their production line to cram into the 1Ds
derrick_morin___fallon__ne
I have been waiting 10 weeks for my D-60 from Gordon's Photo - the only Canon dealer in Reno. I have been "next" on the list for most of that time. They said that Canon expects to have cought up with the demand for D-60s by the 2nd quarter of 2003.
