Sigma Updates Their Website

<p>Seems Sigma has updated their website and added a lens finder feature. Works well too. With their apparent commitment to the Pentax mount and providing lenses to that effect got to give them kudos.<br>

<p>It was easier to get to the lenses on the old website. I'm all for change, but only if it improves things.</p>

<p>Have they added the 85mm f/1.4 yet? When I checked on Wednesday it still wasn't featured.</p>

<p>Nope, I just checked, still not there. Wonder how much an 85mm will go for? More than my 85mm f/1.9 Super-Takumar I'll bet!</p>

<p>I liked that Sigma included a Mount breakdown for each lens. The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for example lists "J" under the Pentax mount features. Other mounts have "HSM" listed. Based on that information I can know that the 30mm will autofocus on my *istDS instead of relying on HSM only for focusing. It's my biggest beef with the Pentax 55mm f/1.4: It is KAF3 so it won't use the screw drive from the body at all. I want the big aperture, but the SDM only is a deal breaker on my older DS. I like the update to the site, since it answer that question for me!</p>

<p>I had considered the Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4 but I like to be different and I've found that I have more shots around 30mm than I do 50mm. Sigma placed a unique lens right where I needed it to be.</p>

<p>very disappointed that they don't have the 200-500mm f2.8 in pentax mount. i was ready to pick it up this weekend. Oh well...</p>
