nilantha
I have been exploring multiple exposure photography with my Elan II and not having a grid-type focusing screen has been an issue, especially when I want to compose subjects rather tightly. Just wanted to know any body in the forum got any thoughts about this, I know that Elan II does not support interchangeable focusing grids. NK Guy
Thoughts? Well. I don't know if you have many options since, as you've noted, the Elan II doesn't have interchangeable grids. The Japanese version of the Elan IIE, the EOS 55, had a panorama mask built in and so its finder has two horizontal lines marked on it. You could try to track down one of those screens as a spare part and have it installed. Or you could extract the screen on your current camera and score it with a steel rule and a scalpel, though that's obviously a horribly dodgy way to do it. Or you could switch to another camera which has optional grids, like the EOS 600 series, EOS A2/5, 1 series, 3, etc.
