gino_qualbender
So, I keep wondering: when is Canon going to enter the fray with a model comparable to the F717, Dimage 7hi, and the Coolpix 5700? One would think that their Pro90is is overdue for a hi-res update. Has anyone heard any rumors or anything? I'm thinking about getting a 7hi when it comes out, but it'd be really nice to have Canon's image stabilizer.
patricks
well, they have to if they want to compete in the prosumer segment. A G3 would be nice.
derek_stanton2
Information about the G3 has been "leaked," and links to pictures were posted on dpreview.com. Doesn't look too promising, at least, not as a 'significant' upgrade. Plus, it's pretty darn ugly. It's now got a 4x zoom. If they've fixed the shutter delay issue, it should still be a very nice camera, even if its aethetics are none too pleasing.
craig_gillette
"Ugly" will impact sales in a category that includes the DSC-707/717 and dimage 7i? Hmmh, an ugly Canon and a Nikon w/o filters?
