b._p.
I had some fungus on my lens, which came off, but I need a little help to stick it back together:

Just kidding ofcourse ;-)
It does amaze me how much work and design go in such a lens. This is just a "simple" 70-210 4-5.6 Not even a D let alone a VR lens.
More pictures of the parts here:
http://bertram-paul.com/Lens

Rene11664880918
WOW!
That's a lot of parts! My first thought was "How many lenses you had put apart?"
I hope you are patient enough so you can enjoy the assembling part... it could be fun!!!
Good luck!

Kent Shafer
I've heard that when you dissassemble and reassemble one of these, you'll always have some parts left over. If you do it again, still more parts will be left over. If you do it enough times, you'll eventually have enough leftover parts to build another lens.
b._p.
This WAS what I had left over ;-)
Seriously: you need an enginering degree in rocket science to put this back together. A car engine is childsplay compared to this ....
